2 vehicles recovered as police investigate Kitchener man’s 2019 death

Two vehicles police had been looking for in connection to a Kitchener, Ont., man’s 2019 death have been located.

Jason Brown, 43, was last seen on Jessie Street in Harriston on March 12, 2019. A day later, his body was found just north of Whitby, east of Toronto, near Stevenson Road and Durham Regional Road 5.

Police are investigating his death as a homicide.

Wellington OPP said Monday they have recovered two of three vehicles investigators believe may be connected to Brown’s death. They found a white Chevrolet Cruze and a red Dodge minivan.

Officers are now working with the Centre of Forensic Sciences to “process the vehicles and examine them for evidence,” police said.

Police say they continue to look for a light-coloured Chrysler 300.

Police had released photos of the vehicles in June.

A $5,000 reward is being offered by Crime Stoppers Guelph Wellington for information that leads to an arrest in Brown’s death. OPP are also offering a $50,000 reward for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of a person connected to the case.
