Chris Young called “the hole” by fellow country star Elle King
Elle King called Chris Young a “hole” after allegedly yelling at her partner to “come for his wife!”
While filming Blake Shelton and Carson Daly’s new show “Barmageddon” on USA Networks, the two country singers battled each other in crazy bar games including “air cannon hole”, “barrel roll” and “drunken” ax hole.
However, according to a witness, the situation between 37-year-old Young and 33-year-old King became tense when she started winning and talking nonsense.
Young allegedly turned to her fiancé, Dan Tooker, who was watching her from the audience, and told him, “Come get your wife!”
A source – who was at the April 2022 taping – stated: “I can’t hold my tongue on how this country singer Chris Young treated Elle King. He spoke to her with contempt because she was a woman.
“I’m sure the station will cut him up so he doesn’t look so bad, but when she started kicking his ass at bar games and talking like guys, he couldn’t take it anymore. He saw red.
“He called her by name and then even shouted over her head to the guy who was with her that he better ‘Come get your wife’ – what was he even going to do? So stupid. The whole crew saw and heard it.”
The interaction was not included in the final broadcast, which aired last week.
However, when asked recently who was the most competitive person on the show, host Shelton told ET: “Chris Young,” Daly added, “Chris Young was very competitive.”
Despite the incident remaining off the episode, King addressed the alleged sexist comment and explained why she named her latest album Come Get Your Wife.
“The title of this album came about because some famous asshole tried to yell ‘Go get your wife’ and I was like I wasn’t even married just because I kicked his ass in a game. I thought, “Ha ha, wouldn’t it be fun if I named my album that?” So I did, she said wrote via Instagram on Monday.
She also added in a separate Instagram post“Remember one time I was banging some asshole in a game and he yelled, ‘Come get your wife!’ to my partner!?!? And I’m not even married! lol. Thanks for the album title, baby 😉.”
Young’s representative, his record label, did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment. Neither did King’s representatives.
A representative for USA Network, which is owned by NBC Universal, has also not contacted us.
