Cody Longo dead and obituary, American film actor and musical artist death – NewsAlarts

Cody Longo, a young actor who rose to fame in film and television, including a role on “Days of Us,” has died… StorieReview has learned.

Cody’s body was found Wednesday in his bed in an apartment building in Austin, Texas, a family member told StorieReview. We’re told that Longo’s wife, Stephanie, who works at a local dance studio, was upset when she couldn’t reach him…so she asked the police to check him out.

The police called the home, Longo didn’t answer, they kicked open the door…and found him dead in bed.

Cody has battled alcoholism for years — and entered rehab over the summer, the family member told CNN. The official time of death has not yet been announced, but the family believes that he had a relapse and that alcoholism was likely the cause of his death.

Longo appeared in eight episodes of Days of Our Lives in 2011, and he also appeared in Bring It On: Fight to the Finish and the 2016 episode of Nashville. However, fans of Hollywood and Highland remember him best as Eddie Duran on the show…he appeared in 78 episodes.

We spoke to Cody’s wife, Stephanie, who told us he fought very hard for his children. “He was a great father and the best husband. Our whole world was shaking,” she said.

He is survived by his wife, a 7-year-old daughter, a 5-year-old son and a 1-year-old son.
