Model in furball outfit crashes into front row, Sam Smith at Paris fashion week

This model was the belle of the (fur)ball.

A model dressed as a giant furball had trouble walking down the runway at Christian Cowan’s Ready-to-Wear Spring 2024 show during Paris Fashion Week.

Inside the furball was model Mi’jon Woods, who told CNN that she had a harness and it took seven people to help her stand up in the giant outfit — but getting ready was a breeze compared to actually walking in the show.

Once Mi’jon got out on the runway, she said she was completely blinded by her outfit.

Mi’jon told the outlet that she could only see shadows of things — despite there being eye holes in the outfit.

She bumped into singer Sam Smith — who happens to be the designer Cowan’s partner — and they had to nudge her away so she wouldn’t tackle them during the performance.

Still unable to see as she continued down the runway, the furball model inevitably crashed into the front row and the fashion week-goers sitting there. Just as she reached the end of the runway, she fell over and had to be picked up.

“I had lost my balance because I had carried it for so long,” Mi’jon told CNN.

The Post has reached out to reps for Cowan for comment.

Video of the incident has made its rounds on social media, with fashion Instagram account @diet_prada bringing attention to it.

“This would have actually been a serve if the model could walk… could nobody figure out how to rig up a camera??” the caption said.

People in the comments of the post were stunned, and many felt bad for the model.

“This is so disrespectful to the model. Designer should be embarrassed and ashamed for putting them in this situation,” one wrote.

“Wow, if ONLY someone could have seen this coming…” another quipped.

“They do this on purpose right? Viral moments? Poor girl. If that wasn’t on purpose I have no clue how else they could have expected that to go,” someone said.

“At this point they just wanna humiliate models, why ?????” one person questioned.

But Smith also commented on the post — with a different tone than the spectators.

“WE HAD A BALL,” they wrote.

While social media users were baffled as to why this outfit made it to the runway, Mi’jon and Cowan seemed to have a good laugh about it.

“Came into my first Paris fashion week show like a wrecking ball,” Mi’jon captioned her Instagram post of her walking down the runway.

Cowan echoed the reference to Miley Cyrus’ “Wrecking Ball” in his caption as well, adding the clarification that “no models were harmed.”

Cowan continued with the joke and later posted a video of Mi’jon in the furball outfit walking in Paris with the caption, “Still lost…”

CNN reported that the design house said they already have one customer hoping to buy the blinding outfit.
